Apricot sold a wide range of printers under it's own 'Writer' brand. The machines were identical to the OEM makes, except for a stick-on Apricot badge. The goal was to offer a set of printers that would have tested and supported drivers for Apricot products, while presumably making a bit of margin along the way by offering the dealer network a ready-made distribution channel that meant they didn't need to go elsewhere.
