The Xen-i 386 was Apricot's first product using the 80386 processor. The computer was externally physically identical to the Xen-i 286.
The 386 version of the Xen-i was launched in February 1987.
The Xen-i 386 also formed the basis of the VX server product - using large external storage boxes called 'Drive Subsystem Units (DSU)'.
A 'deskside' model was offered by Apricot for the first time - It was a substantial full size tower case.
